Culture | Wisdom | Knowledge | Language | Commitment | Perseverance | Leadership

Women are essential pillars in indigenous communities, who play a crucial role in the preservation and transmission of cultural practices, knowledge, and languages.

Despite this crucial role they play in their communities as breadwinners, caregivers and conveyors of knowledge, they too often suffer intersectional levels of discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status.

That's why Trickle up and MetLife Foundation reaffirm our commitment to working for the social and economic inclusion of indigenous peoples in Mexico and other parts of the world.

August 9, International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples.
