Avik Dasgupta is a Program Manager based in Jharkhand, India, where he works with the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) living in extreme vulnerabilities.

Avik has over 12 years of experience in the development sector, his expertise lying mainly with institution-based development programs on livelihood. He has worked with various organizations including PRADAN, WFPIT, and IGS. By leading teams of grassroots level workers, he has learned to analyze every situation from different perspectives before arriving at a chosen alternative.

Avik’s experience as a consultant with WFPIT on a School WaSH program and working on New and Renewable Energy in West Bengal has given him the exposure to work in another aspect of development besides livelihoods.

Avik holds a Master of Business Administration. He loves to look at solutions, rather than problems, is a passionate foodie and a doting father to a five-year old girl.
