What happens when the world’s poorest women have a wealth of information at their fingertips?

Digital tools address one of the key challenges to improving livelihoods in remote locations—real-time access to information. Quick access to information is also crucial to navigating unforeseeable crises, such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jo Sanson, Senior Director of Evaluation, Research & Learning, discussed the objectives, benefits, and challenges of using digital tools to support livelihoods programs and examine how Trickle Up is adapting digitization for participants in the different regions where we work. The Town Hall will address the role of digital technology during Covid-19 pandemic.

Sara Khan, Program Manager of the MPOWERED project, examined how Trickle Up uses smartphones and interactive applications to supplement in-person coaching in Odisha and Jharkhand, India.
