Debdas Majumder joined Trickle Up in June 2018 as a Finance and Administrative Manager in the Trickle Up Asia Regional office.
Debdas serves as the advisor to the Asia Regional office on financial and administrative issues. He also takes the lead on financial planning and budget development for projects and proposals in collaboration with the program team in addition to his core responsibilities on accounts, audit, and taxation.
Debdas has a prolific career spanning over 16 years in demanding roles in organizations of global repute. Prior to joining Trickle Up, he had served in various distinguished and international funding agencies in various capacities. He served as a Senior Finance Officer with Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre, a unit of the Loreto Sisters Congregation, for 5 years. As a Senior Finance Officer, his role required finance monitoring for partner NGO and preparing finance report for foreign donors, in addition to other prominent accounting and administrative responsibilities. He had also served as an Accounts Officer with Indienhilfe e.V. Herrsching, Germany as an Accounts Officer for 3 years in the Kolkata office, where he was required to execute financial and administrative responsibilities in coordination with the Germany office. Debdas worked for 6 years at Child Rights & You, one of the most distinguished and global organization as a Consultant for DSHO and Accounts Assistant. Apart from financial and administrative responsibilities, he is also adept at database management.
What does not inspire Debdas, is not worth the challenge; is what his team has to share about him. With his diverse experience and skill, he motivated by the situations which call for effort. He is never short of ideas and solutions and has an innate ability to get any task done, even if it is perceived as the daunting one. He is decisive and attuned to the entire operations, his zeal to strive and not settle for anything less, makes him distinctive.
He is a passionate photographer and a cricket enthusiast too and known to be extremely affable.
