Ammar James is a Deputy Portfolio Manager for Van Eck Global, a leading asset management firm specializing in natural resource equities, commodities, and emerging markets. He joined the firm in 2019 and acts as its dedicated global agribusiness and timber specialist. Prior to joining VanEck, Mr. James spent roughly eight years at Cambridge Associates where he was an Associate Investment Director performing public and private equity investment research in the agriculture, mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors. He received a BS in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
