Caroline Werner joined Trickle Up in 2018 as the Program Operations Advisor in New York where she assists with various programs and policy initiatives, including global safety and security and child protection matters. Caroline also leads the safeguarding initiatives at Trickle Up, specifically including protection from sexual exploitation and abuse policy and practice issues.

Before joining Trickle Up, Caroline oversaw operations at a New York City nonprofit assisting those living under the poverty line. Caroline is a member of the New York State and Virginia bar associations, and worked as an attorney before becoming involved in the not-for-profit sphere.

Caroline holds a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. Caroline is an active member of the New York City visual arts community. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children exploring the city.
