Charly Villanueva
Charly has over 15 years of experience in international cooperation and development. He specializes in building partnerships with multilateral organizations and governments. He has worked in Mexico, Belize, the US, and participated in missions worldwide.
Recently, as the Partnerships & Coordination Specialist at the Refugee Education Trust International in NYC, Charly led grant development and resource mobilization across eight countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Previously, as Country Director in Belize, he oversaw projects on human trafficking, GBV, migration, and youth empowerment.
In Mexico, Charly worked for UNDP as a Multilateral Cooperation & International Organizations Specialist, engaging with 25 UN Agencies and international organizations. Charly also secured key partnerships during his time at Mexico's Ministry of Social Development. He also held positions with the British Council-Mexico and UNAM.
Charly holds an MA in Public Policy from King’s College London and a BA in International Relations from UNAM.
