Elena Szajewski

Elena Szajewski cultivates and stewards a portfolio of move-ups and major donors, recruits new ones to the organization, contributes to department strategy and event management, and oversees hard copy and online appeals and other special projects. She has been with Trickle Up since 2018.
Elena has nine years of experience in international development fundraising, research, and project management with topical experience in gender and financial inclusion. Prior to joining Trickle Up, Elena managed field research and special projects for PEG Africa, consulted on VSLAs for WomenStrong International in Kenya, contributed to operations for the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics, and played a key role (both as senior staff and later a board member) for the Ghana Health and Education Initiative, a local community development NGO in rural Ghana.
Elena holds a Master's in Public Administration - Development Practice from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and bachelor’s degrees in economics and psychology from Boston College. She is a poll worker in NYC.
