Henry Knecht

Henry Knecht joined Trickle Up in 2020 as a West Africa Repositioning Intern supporting the West Africa Repositioning Task Force. He is responsible for supporting stakeholder and trends analysis, relevant literature and document review, and assisting in setting up stakeholder meetings and discussions.

Henry is a graduate student at George Washington University, studying international affairs and security, with a focus on security concerns, peace, and conflict. He is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer where he served 27 months in Senegal as a health volunteer and an additional year in Liberia as the Malaria Coordinator. Henry is keenly interested in the role of development as a conflict mitigator and preventer, and the nexus between security and development.

Henry enjoys playing chess, guitar, and is working to improve his French. He also loves sailing and scuba diving whenever the opportunity presents itself.
