Laressa joins Trickle Up’s global Communications team with over two decades of experience. Armed with a degree in English (Honours) and unfettered ambition, she started out as a Corporate Trainer, leveraging her strong public speaking skills and an innate leaning towards research and content development. Her career’s journey has been equal parts learning and unlearning, with uniquely enriching experiences – ranging from presenting the BournVita Quiz Contest in more than 200 schools across India and drafting questions for Parliamentary Question Hour to leading Content & Creatives for the launch of the largest Bengali OTT, conceptualizing and hosting a quiz as part of Mother Teresa’s centennial celebrations, and helping rehabilitate flood-ravaged tribal, riparian and coastal communities in Bengal, Odisha & Kerala. Laressa discovered the international development sector four years ago when she led Humanitarian Communication for Oxfam in India. Her experience in the sector has inspired her deep commitment to vulnerable women, children and the elderly, in all her efforts.
