Ruben has 12 years of experience in information technology, telecommunications, and using digital platforms to generate statistical information to support data-driven decision making.

Ruben leads the implementation, integration, execution and expansion of Trickle Up's Monitoring & Evaluation system providing qualitative and quantitative information about the projects for strategic decision making in Guatemala, Colombia and Mexico. He also supports the implementation of Trickle Up's global digital strategy for scale, working closely with external consultants and Trickle Up staff globally to improve the use of technology for the Digital Coaching program pillar.

In his role, Ruben collaborates with staff from other Trickle Up programs in Asia, Africa, and the US to develop tools and methodologies related to M&E and to share learnings to promote accountability and transparency.

Ruben brings experience in computer science from his work at IBM in Mexico. As a native Spanish speaker, Ruben complemented his education with English language studies during high school in the US, and during his time studying statistical research applied to inclusive economic development at the Universidad Rafael Landivar, Guatemala City.
