Shelly Cryer
Shelly spent more than 25 years working in the nonprofit sector, focusing on women’s rights, public health, international affairs, and nonprofit sector leadership. She has a passion for building coalitions and designing strategic media and public education campaigns. Shelly is also a strong advocate for developing the next generation of talent for the nonprofit sector and is the author of The Nonprofit Career Guide (Turner Publishing). Early in her career, Shelly worked for the Feminist Majority Foundation, where she launched the “Rock for Choice” benefit concert series. She also conducted campaign work for the ACLU’s Reproductive Freedom Project. Shelly received a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Duke University.
