Srabani Haldar
Srabani Haldar joins Trickle Up as a development professional with over 16 years of experience. She has worked extensively in the skill development sector for more than 12 years and has been worked with the state chapters of flagship schemes of the Ministry of Rural Development, GoI, SGSY-SP, Ajeevika and Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY).
Her most recent position prior to Trickle Up was with NABCONS as Team Leader of the Central Technical Support Agency of DDU-GKY (Odisha) where she played a key role in the drafting of policy amendments, contributed to external efforts on assessment, investigation, research, and learning on themes and issues of relevance to the scheme, and provided technical support and guidance to SRLM on arbitrations. She had responsibly managed an effective system of controls to monitor the scheme, covering non-financial as well as financial activities, by improving organisational planning, operational systems, processes, information flow and reporting, stakeholder interaction, and capacity building.
Srabani has a master’s degree in Sociology and Rural Development from Utkal University. While she has predominantly worked in the livelihood sector, with a brief exposure to healthcare and education during her time with CARE India and ISAP. Her approach to work is to develop operational strategies that are aligned to the needs of the program, ensuring synergy with the stakeholders, preparedness, and adaptability to changing scenarios to achieve the deliverables. She aspires to become a social entrepreneur and have her own start-up that works on various solutions to emerging social and environmental issues.
