Suhita Chakrabarty
Suhita Chakrabarty was born and raised in Durgapur, West Bengal. She completed her schooling at Girls’ Multipurpose School, Durgapur, and earned her Master's in Agronomy from Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan.
With over 16 years of experience, Suhita has held key roles at CAPART, where she started as a young professional, and later at Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana- National Rural Livelihoods Mission as Mission Manager - Farm Livelihoods. Her expertise spans livelihood generation, sustainable agriculture, non-timber forest produce, climate change, gender equality, training & capacity building, biodiversity enhancement, food & nutritional security, community institution building, policy research, program and stakeholder management, budgeting, project implementation, team leadership, research, documentation, monitoring and evaluation, policy advocacy, digital agriculture, and Digital Public infrastructure.
Outside of work, Suhita enjoys classical dancing, Yoga, traveling, painting, and gardening.
