Amit Chandra Jha brings 12 years of experience in the Graduation Approach for ultra-poor populations, as well as expertise in agriculture, micro-entrepreneurship development, capacity building and training, watershed management, and livelihood enhancement. He has held roles with organizations such as SARDA, Society for Promotion of Wastelands Development (SPWD), BASIX, Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF), and Bandhan Konnagar, working at the district level to drive impact.
Amit completed his early education at Zila School in Saharsa and earned his undergraduate degree from the Department of Botany at M.L.T. College, Saharsa. He holds a master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Magadh University, Bodhgaya, and has additional qualifications, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Development from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
