Diganta Mohanty
Diganta Mohanty joined Trickle Up in October 2020 as the Program Director for the Asia Office, based in Kolkata, India. He has extensive experience of working with some of world’s most vulnerable communities in India over last two decades.
Diganta has worked extensively in remote pockets of India with ultra-poor population, specifically women, and led numerous large scale innovative social development initiatives in Livelihood, Girls’ Education, Nutrition and Health, Disability and Disaster Response.
Prior to Trickle Up, Diganta worked with reputed International agencies like CARE India, Sightsavers and in CSR wing of Corporates like Bharti Foundation and Jaipur Rugs at state & National level. His last engagement was with IPE Global Limited, a premier Development Consulting farm. He is an avid program implementer, strategist and program designer, who believes that change at large scale is feasible only when social development projects are based on contextual designs and are sincerely implemented, and are guided by technically sound monitoring mechanisms.
Diganta believes that teams can do wonders if the leader explores the best in each one of the team.
Diganta is a post-graduate in NGO Management and English Literature. He has flair for creative writing. He writes short stories in Odia language and has got one collection of short stories to his credit, which was published recently. He loves to play musical instruments like harmonica and flute and listen to good musical compositions.
