Yéréfolo Mallé
Yéréfolo Mallé is the West Africa Regional Representative and is based in Trickle Up’s West Africa office in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
Yéréfolo began his development career organizing market gardeners into associations and supporting them with seeds and infrastructure for their trade. This focus on working with market gardeners and communities continued as he moved from field level positions to projects at the cluster and then national and regional levels.
Yéréfolo’s expertise not only includes economic strengthening, but is complemented by experience in water and sanitation and the implementation of social policies including those focused on safety nets and food security. He also participated in several cross-national and Pan African initiatives.
Over the years, Yéréfolo has worked with a variety of stakeholders at all levels from community farmers, to local government officials, national ministries and regional technical bodies. He also has extensive experience working with nongovernmental organizations at the community level, national level and with international organizations, including Water and Sanitation for Africa (WSA), WaterAid, Save the Children UK, Africare and GRAT (Groupe de Recherche et d’Applications Techniques). Yéréfolo MALLE is an Engineer in the area of rural development with specialization in veterinary sciences from the Institut Polytechnique Rural of Katibougou in Mali.
Yéréfolo holds a master’s degree in Innovation, Development and Society from the International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering (2IE) based in Ouagadougou.
